sequin covered swans
from wroclaw, poland, 27 year-old photographer lukasz wierzbowski leaves us wanting more. raw and uncontrolled, his images expose a delicate and candid moment between the model and their surroundings. if only we could be frolicking through the polish countryside...

head over to east river state park to celebrate the pool parties 5th year anniversary! entry is free, and though there may not be an actual pool to paddle about in, this year's line-up should keep you suitably entertained. check the full schedule here

i wish your wish
rivane neuenschwander's current exhibition at the new museum invites chaos and emotion by allowing visitors to post a wish to an installation and take one in return. another aspect allows guests to describe their first love to a police sketch artist, with intriguing results. if nothing else, the exhibition also offers clean soles, with a walkable section covered in adhesive halos. simple, interactive art at its finest, we think.

can you keep a secret?
After a few delays and some problems at the customs office, the boys of Rebel Bingo are finally coming to New York City. Never heard of Rebel Bingo? - That's exactly the point. This Underground party has been tearing up London for some time in the disguise of "Health & Safety Conferences" and "Neighborhood Watch Meetings" and now it's our turn to wreak havoc on the neighbors. The rules are minimal: just show up, play bingo, win prizes & party to your hearts content...or until your markers run out. Still don't understand? Check out their Facebook event for further details.

pixelated manhattan
Patrick Jean takes every video game fanatics obsession to the next level. Space Invaders, PacMan, even Brick Breaker - you name it, it's attacking Manhattan. Favorite bit? Tetris vs. Empire State Building - guess who wins... What's more, Jean is part of a collective taking part in The Creators Project, a multimedia channel looking to push the development of new work and collaborations across all mediums. The Creators Project launches June 26 with live sets, pop-up exhibitions and film screenings.

eat your heart out, sartorialist
From the lens of Leon Levinstein to the fashion blogosphere; the new Met exhibition Hipsters, Hustlers and Handball Players shows the world of street photography is still very much the same. Portraying a host of subjects casually leading their everyday lives Levinstein's work captures a very intimate New York City - documenting life during the 1950s & 60s. Wouldn't be surprise if some of these shots crop up on The Sartorialist soon; as you can see the outfits are pretty sweet.
