this is probably worth an uptown venture. the d'espresso chain's newest location near grand central is designed to look like a library flipped on its side. the walls are adorned with sepia-toned tiles printed with images of books, while globe lighting protrudes from the "ceiling." it's all finished off with modern furniture on the ground level to make the place work as an actual coffee shop.
